Objective: This course provides an introduction to maintenance principles for a gas turbine engine and package.
Course Description: This course is divided into four sections, starting with an overview of maintenance: examining the drivers, strategy, structure and different maintenance approaches. The second section takes a detailed look at the maintenance cycle, maintenance schedule and equipment reliability. The third section covers the different maintenance activities commonly undertaken on a gas turbine package at different time intervals and takes a closer look at condition maintenance. The fourth and final section simulate a real-life gas turbine maintenance task of calibrating a pressure transmitter and guides students through the entire process for undertaking this activity.
