James is a marine engineer completing his degree at Australian Maritime College (University of Tasmania) and his cadetship with Teekay shipping Australia in 2017. After which he went on to work as an engineer officer on a variety of vessels including oil tankers, FSO’s, bulk carriers, and offshore supply vessels. He has also been involved in sea trails and ship deliveries for the Royal Australian Navy as well as roles on Navy training and support vessels.

James has been part of AJSS on a casual basis since 2014 working on various rotating equipment projects as part of the office support team and more predominantly in the field. In 2023 James took on a full-time role as rotating equipment engineer at AJSS.
