Our Mission is Advancing Performance through Expert Rotating Equipment Solutions

Established in 2013 by industry veteran Arthur Stack, AJSS combines decades of OEM expertise with a passion for knowledge sharing to reduce technical risk, lower costs, and drive operational excellence across Australasia’s most critical industries.
Specialists in field services, training and engineering solutions for critical rotating equipment since 2013

Founded in 2013, AJSS was established to improve the delivery of technical and business solutions for customers operating critical rotating equipment. Built on experience across OEMs, equipment operators, field service, engineering, and training, AJSS brings together a team focused on practical problem-solving, knowledge sharing, and condition-based maintenance.

Today, AJSS supports the oil and gas, power generation, and mining industries by helping customers improve equipment performance, reduce technical and commercial risk, and achieve cost-effective outcomes. The company provides project management, detailed design, technical auditing, field support, and technical training, while continuing to invest in practical innovation and challenge conventional approaches to solve complex client problems.

Redefining Industrial Excellence

Founded on family values and a passion for engineering in 2013, AJSS has evolved from a local consultancy into a global leader in rotating equipment solutions and immersive digital training.
2013
The Founding of AJSS
Arthur Stack decided to take early retirement from Solar Turbines and formed AJSS. The company was established with the encouragement of his wife, Elaine, to provide specialised technical and business solutions for rotating equipment that clients were not receiving from original equipment manufacturers (OEMs).
2015
Regional Partnerships and Global Contracts
Expanding the footprint into Papua New Guinea and beyond. In early 2015, AJSS formed a strategic partnership with GMT Automation, a national company in Port Moresby, PNG. Later that same year, the company reached a major milestone by being awarded its first long-term service contract outside of Australia.
2016
European Alliances and Asian Educational Reach
Broadening technical representation and training capabilities. In January, AJSS signed a representation agreement with Airpack Netherlands to package European compressors and nitrogen generators. The company also expanded its educational influence by hosting a forum in Myanmar in July, which led to the awarding of its first Asian training contract in October 2016.
2017
Infrastructure and Product Innovation
Establishing a dedicated training hub and bespoke equipment solutions. AJSS opened its new interactive training facility at the Cheltenham office to provide hands-on learning for students and technicians. This year also marked the launch of their first product, a specialised transportation and storage container, with plans to offer various models for lease.
2021
Challenging the Norms in Engineering
Proving technical possibilities through critical problem-solving. In December 2021, the team successfully supported a customer by swapping dry gas seals between compressors to avoid millions in lost revenue—a move the OEM claimed was not possible. This event solidified the company’s reputation for "challenging the norms" to find cost-effective solutions.
2022
The Emergence of Stacked Learning
Transforming technical education through immersive digital solutions. Building on over 400 combined years of engineering experience, AJSS launched Stacked Learning. This new entity focused on bespoke courses, face-to-face training, and immersive digital content—moving beyond "digital slide decks" to utilise VR, AR, and gamification based on the "Cone of Learning" philosophy.
2023
A Decade of Excellence and Further Expansion
Celebrating ten years with a new headquarters and global ventures. AJSS celebrated its 10th anniversary, marking a decade of success driven by family support, employee dedication, and customer trust. Significant developments this year included the purchase of a new office and training centre in Perth and the transition of the training arm, Stacked Learning, into a Singapore-based company to achieve a global reach.
2025
The Acquisition of GTS and Clayton Expansion
Strengthening parts supply and establishing a new Melbourne headquarters. In December 2025, AJSS announced the acquisition of Gas Turbine Services (GTS), effective January 5th, 2026. This acquisition significantly broadens AJSS's support for the Frame & Industrial Gas Turbine range (Frames 3, 5, 6, and 9). In alignment with this growth, the company established a new Melbourne headquarters in Clayton, complemented by a dedicated warehouse in Perth for storage and dispatch.

Building Success Through Strategic Partnerships

From our foundational inspiration by family to global alliances with MJBI and Airpack, AJSS thrives on trust-based relationships that enable us to solve the industry’s toughest challenges. On a strategic level, AJSS has expanded its technical reach through significant global alliances:

Driven by a belief in the transformative power of giving back, AJSS fosters a culture of social responsibility through dedicated partnerships that support health research, youth empowerment, and crisis recovery.
STREAT
As a partner of this social enterprise, AJSS helps provide training and employment opportunities in the hospitality industry for young people experiencing or at risk of homelessness.
Cancer Council
As a leading foundation in the fight against cancer, they fund research and provide crucial support to those affected. In 2023, Arthur personally completed "The Longest Day" golf marathon, playing four rounds in a single day to raise $17,000 for cancer research.
RCD Foundation
Supporting paediatric brain cancer research in memory of Robert Connor Dawes, AJSS participates in initiatives like Connor’s Run to fund care and development projects.
Spend With Us Initiative
This initiative supports rural businesses and families affected by bushfires in QLD and NSW by connecting them with Australian shoppers to channel resources into devastated communities.
Magic Moments Foundation
The team lends hands-on support to the Melbourne Basket Brigade, assisting with the packing and delivery of essential food hampers to families in need during the holiday season.
Charity Skydive
To support local communities, the team parachuted from 14,000 feet over St Kilda Bay, raising approximately $14,000. We managed these funds to ensure a "multiplied impact," purchasing eggs from local farmers and meat from butchers to then distribute to other organisations and firemen.
Daylesford Cinema
Named in honour of John Egan, the Irish pioneer credited as the first to discover gold in the Daylesford district in 1851 and reputedly the second in all of Victoria, Phoenix at The Rex carries on the spirit of a man who helped build a community from the ground up. AJSS is proud to support this cultural landmark, where Daylesford's rich history and vibrant present continue to meet.
Peter MacCallum Cancer Foundation
As Australia's only public hospital solely dedicated to cancer, Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre cares for more than 31,000 patients each year and is home to the country's largest cancer research group. AJSS is proud to support the role it plays in bringing people together and keeping community spirit alive.
Cobh Community Hospital

AJSS is proud to support this enduring community institution and the dedicated team who uphold its legacy of care.
Share the Dignity
Share the Dignity works to make a real, on-the-ground difference to the lives of women, girls and those who menstruate who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness, domestic violence or poverty, distributing period products to those in need and working to achieve menstrual equity across Australia. AJSS is proud to support this vital cause and the thousands of volunteers who drive it forward every day.

Through research, advocacy, and support services, they work tirelessly on behalf of Australians living with this life-limiting condition and their families. AJSS is proud to support their mission.

Celebrating Ten Years of Technical Innovation

The Foundation of Success Reflecting on the past ten years, Managing Director Arthur Stack recalls the early days in 2013 when the company was merely a "watching brief" and a conversation with his wife, Elaine, who inspired him to take the leap. What began with a small, dedicated team has flourished into a business that now supports 31 major customers across the oil and gas, power generation, and mining sectors. Our success is built upon a foundation of family support, loyal partners, and a team of experts who treat one another like family.
