Kevin Lester

Kevin has an Engineering degree from UNSW and is a Member and Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. A Past President and Life Member of the Australian Pipelines and Gas Association, Kevin has had an exemplary 40-year career in the engineering and construction industry. Kevin began his career with a Tier 2 contractor and culminated in an Executive role at APA Group, serving in the Executive Leadership Team from 2012 until his retirement. At APA, he was responsible for the safe and timely delivery of all approvals, procurement, engineering, and construction of multi-billion-dollar capital works nationally. Throughout his career, Kevin has played a central role in delivering many of Australia’s most significant energy infrastructure, shaping the backbone of the nation’s energy system. Beyond his technical and leadership achievements, Kevin has been a strong advocate for diversity and inclusion in the sector, championing individual employee growth, mentorship, and the development of future leaders.
